I/O Hubs Enable Efficient Integration of Binary Sensors into IO-Link Communication
The new I/O hubs dramatically simplify wiring and are ideally suited to establishing cost-efficient subnetworks in plants …
With the new I/O hubs with IO-Link interface, plant and machine builders easily and economically integrate large numbers of binary I/O into the IO-Link communication channel: combining an 8 port/16 DI hub with Pepperl+Fuchs’ Ethernet IO module with integrated IO-Link master enables signal transmission of up to 128 binary I/Os to higher level-control systems.
This slim solution from a single source reduces cabling complexity and minimizes wiring errors, as it requires only one connection for signal transmission and power supply. It also allows a mixture of IO-Link sensors and common binary sensors in one setup, freeing users from technological restrictions.
